At NIST, I conducted experimental and numerical research on precast concrete and steel components under elevated temperatures, focusing on structural resilience. Working with a multidisciplinary team, I contributed to designing innovative systems with utilizing SolidWorks, Abaqus and SAP2000 OAPI and developing insights to enhance safety standards, culminating in a comprehensive technical report.
Conducted advanced structural analysis and finite element modeling to predict progressive collapse in reinforced concrete structures. Improved dynamic response accuracy, influencing regulatory standards. Utilized SAP2000, Abaqus, MathCAD, and MATLAB to enhance research efficiency. Published findings that contributed to structural safety and resilience.

During my internship, I worked on the Exam Web Application, improving its features and overall user experience. I added multi-language support, implemented secure authentication with the Identity framework, and optimized database operations. Along the way, I fixed bugs using Azure SQL, C#, JavaScript, and Azure Repos, making the app smoother and more efficient.

In my role supporting structural engineering courses, I helped students develop practical skills in structural analysis, engineering mechanics and advance programming. My work went beyond just teaching—whether facilitating discussions or presenting research, I engaged with students and peers to make complex topics more understandable. I also contributed to seismic risk research, focusing on improving design methodologies for offshore and industrial structures. This experience honed my ability to communicate technical concepts effectively, whether in presentations, events, or one-on-one mentoring.

Involved in research on disaster resilience for substandard residential buildings, focusing on advanced structural analysis. I collaborated with colleagues to develop fragility curves and conducted finite element analysis to improve safety in seismic-prone areas. Presenting and sharing findings helped enhance the understanding of structural resilience, particularly in reducing seismic risk for residential buildings, and allowed me to effectively communicate technical insights to various audiences.
